Bierwood approaches Education vastly different than the majority of educational institutions. Brierwood believes education should be useful, practical and provide a benefit to the student and the society as a whole. Brierwood takes a different approach to child education, we focus on establishing core social behaviours, core knowledge and work to develop the individual. After the basics of education are provided, students have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge in a broad range of fields with specialized certification and diploma programs. These specialized certifications and diploma programs are also avaliable to life-long learners and those wishing to upgrade their knowledge base. Brierwood also provides higher level degree programs. It is not about our reputation or our prestige for Brierwood, it the success of our students, which highlights our values of an exceptional educational experience to our students. Why does Brierwood offer all levels of education? Brierwood education starts with infants and spans the lifetime of the student with certificate, diploma and degree programs. What can Brierwood offer under-funded schools? A major disadvantage to many schools is the lack of quality educational material which is not riddled with propaganda or biased towards one opinion. Brierwood Education systems provides a solution to this, by providing content to Schools (home, public, private, etc) which does not express an opinion, only presents information which is as unbiased and factually acurate as possible. Completion of courses are proved by students via our own examination process, which is uniform in order to ensure that all students have equal opportunity to be successful no matter their social-economical-regional backgrounds. My regional education system is different than Brierwood. Once the core of brierwood education is provided for, efforts are made to ensure that all local, provincial, state, federal, national, geographical requirements are met. Having an education which is recognized is important to ensure benefits which certain credentials offer. What about science and religious belief? Brierwood takes a common sense approach to science and religious belief, and sees that both can work together up to a point. When two opposing beliefs are avaliable, it is up to the individual schools on whether they will include both sides of a belief, or their individual side. Brierwood is not in a postion to form people's beliefs, it is the individual who forms their own beliefs, often with the guidance of their family, friends, or society. Brierwood does not force students to learn theories which are counter to their own belief stucture nor do we grade students on their ability to memorize theories which are counter to their own belief stucture. It is not fair or healthy to force beliefs on students. Can I get credit for life experience? No. You only can get credit for successfully completed course work. If I do not pass, will I still pass due to the 'nobody left behind policy'? No. If you do not pass, you do not pass. Can I get an honary diploma certificate, diploma or degree by paying or contributing to brierwood? No. Paying for a certificate, diploma or degree underminds the system. We do not offer this. Is Brierwood Accredited? Yes and No. Each division and program goes through seperate accredication processes, often through different accrediation bodies, depending on the program and the location which it is being used in. This is done to ensure the highest quality of education is provided for. Being without accredication for a specific program does not make it any less valuable. |
